David Dredge

David has over 30 years experience of managing risk across global markets. Prior to launching Convex Strategies, David served as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Artradis Fund Management in Singapore, where he was responsible for the fixed income aspects of their volatility strategy. Earlier in his career, David built and ran Asian and Global EM trading businesses for RBS (ABN AMRO Group), Bankers Trust and Bank of America. David holds an MBA from University of California, Berkeley and Bachelor’s degree from University of Utah. He currently sits on the Monetary Authority of Singapore Markets Committee (SFEMC).

Julian Ings-Chambers

Before launching Convex Strategies at Fortress in 2011, Julian worked at Artradis Fund Management from 2006 with responsibility for overall business development. Julian began his career as a portfolio manager at Henderson Investment Management in London in 1990, before opening and moving to their Singapore office in 1995. He has also worked in senior roles in Asia for BZW, Caspian Securities, Deutsche Bank, and HSBC.
Julian holds a BA in Classics from King’s College, University of London, the IIMR, is an Associate of UK Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP) and a member of the CFA (UK).

Nicholas Heaney

Nicholas has been integral to the growth of Convex Strategies, joining at launch in late 2011 and is a member of the management team. Immediately prior to Convex Strategies, he was Head of Interest Rate Sales for Asia-Pacific with Nomura from 2009-11, based in Singapore. Before joining Nomura, Nicholas worked at ABN AMRO in both Tokyo and Singapore from 2005, where he was a colleague of David Dredge for the first time. Nicholas has lived and worked in Asia since October 1999, specialising in interest rate / FX structured products and volatility trading. He studied for a BSc (Hons) in Surveying at South Bank University, London.

Adil Alshinbayev | Non-Executive Director

Adil began his career in financial institutions advisory at J.P. Morgan in London, specialising in Emerging Markets. Currently, he is based in Hong Kong, where he manages a variety of public and private investments for Meridian Capital Limited. Adil first got involved in Convex Strategies as an investor in 2015 and became an NED in 2019. Adil graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, and Business.
